January’s empties post is the first “proper” empties post of 2018. I am not counting December, I may have written it in January, but it’s last year’s news lol. I have finally found places for all the new bath and make up bits I received at Christmas. A new make-up organiser had to be purchased and my dressing table looks really small now, but I love it all.

My January Empties

Most of the bits that I used during January were things that I already had in my stash of goodies. Only used one of my new items this month, it is gonna take me a while to get around to using a lot of it lol. I’ve been really good this month and I’ve not bought anything new. I’m very proud of myself!

hairspray used for my empties January 2018

I use a lot of hairspray as you know, probably shouldn’t use it as much as I do as it can’t be great for my hair. But damn I need something to keep this mop under control! I tend to keep to the cheap hairspray, I am on a budget after all. I have found that the budget ones do just as good a job as the expensive ones. This one was about 79p in B&M. It held my hair in place and wasn’t too sticky and didn’t make my hair look “solid” like some do. A good buy for the price.

lip butter that was used during January

Lip butter/balm is something that I always try to have on my person. This is the one that I was taking to work with me. The Nivea lip butters are all amazing. It kept my lips feeling soft and smooth and it smells divine. The cocoa butter one is my favourite, but this definitely comes a close second!

radox berry burst shower cream used in January

And here it is, this month’s Radox product lol. This is from my stash and I have had it for a long while now lol ( not even sure if it’s still available!). This shower cream smells so fresh, it is great for first thing in the morning. Left me feeling very fresh and my skin feeling soft. It didn’t dry my skin out at all. If you can find it I would definitely recommend buying it.

january saw me use a soap and glory shower pod

Onto the only new thing I used in January. I loved my Soap and Glory advent calendar, it was full of amazing stuff. The clean-on-me shower pod was a delight. I was surprised at how much shower cream was jammed into the tiny pod, I got 3 uses out of it (which is amazing for someone like me who likes to get their money’s worth!). Having never used the Soap and Glory bath products before I was really hoping it would be good and I wasn’t disappointed! It smells gorgeous and my skin felt amazing after using it. I really can’t wait to get around to using all the other bits now!

Using No7 Eyeliner in January

Just before Christmas, I found the joy of wearing eyeliner again. I wore nice sparkly ones over the festive period and changed to this brown one from No7 after it was all over. The colour in it was great and it applies well (even in my shaky hands). My only gripe is that it’s not cheap so I expected it to twist up as it got shorter, but it didn’t. So it doesn’t last very long, especially if you are wearing it every day. I got 4 different coloured eyeliners in the Soap and Glory calendar so will be using these for a while now.

So there you have it, everything I used in January. Looking forward to all the great stuff I am using through February.
