The last few weeks have been busy, so things that make me happy has taken a bit of a backseat. Obviously, over that time there have been many things that have made me happy. I like being busy, but sometimes I miss being able to sit back and really enjoy the moment. This week is half term, so I am going to try to do more with the kids (and hubby) this week.
Tuesday was a double whammy of good things going on. Firstly, Booey and I had a “tea date” after she had finished school. It was lovely to spend some one on one time with her. We chatted about all sorts of things and of course we had cake too! This is something we are going to try to do more often.
Later on in the evening, we went to Poole Quay bike night. It was a lovely evening. There were some great bikes to look at as well as having a nice walk along the quay. Some of the quayside shops stayed open and it was lovely to look at the unique products they have. A great family night for us. You can read more about our evening in my Poole Quay Bike Night post.
On Friday I went for tea with my friends Emma and Rosann. What was different though was that Ben Bob came with us! I think the only reason he came was because he wanted a sausage sandwich! He stayed long enough to eat and then left, but it was nice that he came with us for a bit. He was telling us about what he’s been doing at the gym and with his YouTube channel. I think that was the most I have gotten out of him in months!
On Sunday hubby and I went out to dinner to celebrate us being together 6 years. I cannot believe we have been together 6 years. In a weird way, it seems longer. I can’t imagine my life without him. We had a lovely dinner at a chinese restaurant and talked and ate so much. It was a lovely night and I look forward to many more years with him.
Some lovely times were had this week and with it being half term I am sure they will be more. We already have a family meal planned and some tea dates. And most importantly, I get to lie in in the mornings! lol.
What has made you happy this week?
Take care everyone.
