My Weight & I: Update #5

This month’s update is a lot more positive than the last few blog posts. I have finally found my swing in the gym and I am just generally trying to be more active during the day.
Whilst using the recumbent bike (I can’t use the normal bikes at the gym as my legs are short and it is really uncomfortable, which makes me give up after 5 minutes) I have managed to burn 10-15 more calories per session than before.
I have added a sprint to the end of my session on the bike. One minute of sprinting has really made a difference. On my last go, I went even faster for the last 10 seconds and the calories burned was the highest I have ever achieved in one cardio session. Go me!
Over the next few weeks and months I am planning to add more sprints to my workouts.
I am going to add them gradually as I don’t want to hurt myself or burn myself out. I have been reading about the benefits if HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) for a long while.
Now that I have seen the results for myself, I am definitely going to keep going with it.
Now that hubby is coming to the gym more often, I have found myself more motivated to go. It is really nice to workout with him and it gives us some more time together.
Also, Booey is allowed onto the gym floor to use the cardio machines and gym mats, which means I don’t have to worry about finding someone to look after her while going to the gym. She loves doing stretches on the mats.
It is so nice to be able to enjoy my gym time with my family, and my friends too. This has really given me the push I needed to really make the most out of my gym time.
There hasn’t been a change in my weight this month. This is probably down to the fact that hubby and I had a child free weekend and ate out and had takeaways and didn’t spend a lot of time in the gym lol.
But this month has shown me that I can do it. I am looking forward to the changes I will see in myself.
Take care everyone.

I really want to join a gym, I used to love it pre-children, but I would definitely need my OH to come along with me for motivation! Might have to see if I have any bear me that will let the kids come along too. Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday x
