Everybody wants to have a little more confidence, but this confidence can often be challenging to find. Even if you try to fake it, you soon realize that, perhaps, you’re not as confident as you thought you were.

But confidence is what attracts people, both personally and professionally. Without confidence, you will struggle to stand out from the crowd, and this could severely impact your chances of progressing in work and in your personal life. While confidence can be tricky to find and maintain, there are a few tricks that can bring that confidence naturally.

Dress to Impress (Yourself)

Dressing to impress is nothing new, but the problem that many people encounter is that they only dress to impress others, and they completely forget about themselves.

This could be the first change you need to make if you want to find more confidence. If you know you look good, you will radiate the positive spirit that makes you stand out. Whether you want to go bold with a new wardrobe, boost your glow with mineral foundation, or get creative with what you have, there are plenty of avenues for you to explore. Wear outfits that make you feel comfortable as well as confident, if you are not comfortable with what you are wearing it will show.

Get Organised

One of the critical reasons that make people lack confidence is the idea that they are not good enough. This imposter syndrome can affect anybody, no matter how talented or experienced you are.

If you’ve ever felt you are winging it and will be found out soon, don’t worry. It happens to almost everybody. But worrying about it won’t do much good. Instead, you can overcome your worries by getting organized. You’ll find that much of your panic comes from feeling you are underprepared, and this will expose you. By planning out your day, including meetings and even conversations, you’ll find yourself with more confidence to take on whatever the day throws your way.

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

We all have a comfort zone. We have a place where we feel at home and safe. But while such a position is cozy, it’s almost certainly holding you back.

You don’t need to ditch your current life to go live in the woods (unless you want to), but you can start to say Yes to more things, especially anything that scares you. If you begin to do something you never thought you could do, you’ll see your confidence snowball.

Positive Affirmation

Too many people will talk down to themselves when faced with a challenge. Even if they display confidence outwardly, there is always the voice in their head, reminding them that they will fail.

This is never good for your confidence, and even if you’re using it as a mechanism to prevent disappointment, it will end up becoming a reality. However, positive affirmation is often the key to boosting your confidence. Rather than wonder what might go wrong, think about what will go well, and allow the confidence to flow.

Positive Affirmations have really helped me with my confidence. Make them a mantra that you say to yourself as you brush your teeth or whenever you get a few minutes.

You Got This

Even if you don’t think you’ve got this, you have, and often all it takes it a few changes here, a few switch-ups there, and you will stride into any occasion, whether formal or casual, with the bold confidence that you’ve always had bubbling beneath the surface.
