I love a nice coffee shop and I love a good lunch. So, it was lovely to go along to The Real Eating Company for the launch of their collaboration with Lunchd. The Real Eating company is a lovely cafe in Bournemouth (they also have 4 other locations). Situated just off the main high street, it is a lovely place to stop for a drink and a nibble after shopping, meeting with friends or on your lunch break. It’s very welcoming and the staff are super friendly and they have cake!
But I wasn’t there for cake. I was there to try the lunches from Lunchd that will be available at The Real Eating Company on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Real Eating Company is collaborating with local businesses to bring interesting food and drink to customers and get local businesses onto the high street.
Lunchd has been serving their hotboxes to offices since 2013, And now with the pop up in The Real Eating Company you can try the seasonal boxes too. There will be 2 types of box available each week and you can eat them in the cafe or have them to take away.
Before we ate, Lunchd owner Oli told us a bit about the micro herbs that are grown locally by Greenponics. The herbs may have been small but they were very tasty.
All the boxes are healthy, as well as being gluten and dairy free. We got to try the Big Phat Greek box. In the box was Aubergine Moussaka & Quinoa Greek Salad with hummus & balsamic dressing. I had never tried quinoa before so it was a really interesting experience for me. It was really nice and packed with taste.
The Lunchd boxes fit in really well with the style of The Real Eating Company and go perfectly with their range of drinks (and cakes).
Take care everyone.
Disclaimer: I was invited along to the Real Eating Company as part of the Bournemouth Bloggers network. I got a complimentary hotbox and drink to try. All opinions are my own.
