March Review & April Goals

The year began so slowly but March just passed in a flash! I honestly don’t know where this month went. Things have been really busy at home and the blog has taken a little bit of a backseat. Things are still really busy for us, but I am back to making more time for the blog now. I’m also back to making YouTube videos.
As I said I didn’t blog as much as I wanted to in March, but I still did a few sponsored posts. The first one was for Prestige Flowers, I reviewed one of their Mother’s Day bouquets. I have worked with Prestige Flowers a few times now, it has been great every time.
I also did a post with BritMums and Oreo to promote the Great Oreo Cookie Quest. Booey and I had a lot of fun with this one.
And lastly, I did a post and hosted a giveaway with Sudocrem to promote their go play more game on Facebook.
I am really pleased with the posts that I have done this month.
My March review
- Read 2 books – I only managed to read one book this month and I struggled to find the time to do that! I keep saying it every month but I am going to try to make more time to read.
- Make more time for me – This was a complete failure! Things are so hectic at the moment, but I must try and make a few minutes for myself a couple of times a week.
- Organise my blogging schedule better – A mini success here. I have set out in my diary all the posts I want to write and roughly when I want to post them. It is going well so far, I am not so panicked about when and what I am going to post.
- Post 3 times a week – This just is not happening at the moment. I will try to do this where I can, but I think for the next month at least it will be 2 posts a week.
Not the best month goal-wise, but I am really pleased with how I have scheduled things so it is not all bad. Now on to what I want to achieve in April.
My April goals
- Read 2 books – I am determined that I am going to do this! I am going to try to write a book review post every couple of months or so about the books I have been reading. This should hopefully encourage me with reading more.
- Go to the gym 3 times a week – I was going to the gym at least 3 times a week but where I have been busy and a little niggling pain I have had in my back, this has dropped a lot. I have been twice in the last 3 or so weeks. I am really disappointed with this as I had been doing so well and seeing results. This month I will get back to it.
- Apply for more brand/sponsored posts – I am slowly getting more brand work, it is not a huge amount, but it is more than this time last year. I need to get brave and put myself out there a bit more and be more confident in approaching brands.
- Update the photos of myself and the kids on my blog pages/social media – I haven’t done this for a while and the pictures really could do with updating. The only problem with this is I hate taking pictures of myself lol.
Hopefully this time next month I will be telling you all how successful I have been with my goals. What goals have you set for yourself this month? Let me know in the comments!
Take care everyone.

I would love to be able to read a book a week but I don’t think I would find the time lol. Good luck with all your reading x

It sounds like you are doing well so far this year. I really struggle to make the time to do everything I want to especially with the blog. I did draw up some guidelines I wanted to stick to but so far that has gone out of the window! #kcacols

I don’t always find it easy, that’s why I do these posts to make myself accountable lol

You’re doing so well lovely, it is great that you’ve recognised and been open and admitted when you havent achieved a goal and you have noticed your reasons for not achieving it. This means that you can only get better from now on!
Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next week!

I’ve stuck to two times a week schedule for my blog and it seems to have gone well over the last year. Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next time

Sounds like you are doing great! I’m not one for really setting goals as I hate the pressure of not wanting to disappoint myself. Keep it going.

Well done for all the things you have achieved – focus on the positive! I wrote a similar goal evaluation post for the year so far – unfortunately most of mine were fails! I also need to make much more time for reading books, I’ve been rubbish for the past couple of years. Good luck with your April goals. #kcacols
