May Review & June Goals

May was a pretty pants month for me blog wise.I had such good intentions at the beginning of the month, but it just wasn’t happening. I had a week off work, where I decided I was going to keep blogging to a minimum and actually enjoy my time off, I thought one week wouldn’t hurt. The following week I had that horrendous cold/flu bug that seemingly hit everyone. It completely sapped the life out of me, I couldn’t concentrate on anything.

Thankfully, I am feeling much better now and my motivation has returned! I am back to my usual blogging schedule (ish lol) and am venturing out into the world again lol.

Towards the end of the month I did two sponsored posts. One for Hangsun water flossers and one for Morse Toad. Booey loved the Morse Toad one. I videod her opening the package and she was so happy she cried (the video is in the blog post)!

So how did (or didn’t lol) I do with my goals in May?

  • Go to the gym 3 times a week – This was a massive fail. I went to the doctor about the ongoing issue with my back and she gave me a note saying I can’t lift anything for 4 weeks. That time is almost up now so I will be able to start training properly again soon. Add the fact that I was ill and I barely saw the inside of the gym lol.
  • Try to relax a bit more – On the week I had off I did actually manage to do this a bit. We went to the beach a few times, which was lovely. It was nice to slow down for a bit. I probably should have rested more while I was ill, but I couldn’t really afford to be off work so I just carried on. This meant I was very tired and had no energy for the blog or much else.
  • Upload 2 YouTube videos a week – Again, bit of a fail. The month started off ok, I slacked while I was off work and ill and I ended the month with 3 videos in a week lol.
  • Update blog pics/profile pics – This was a fail. I looked horrendous for the best part of 2 weeks so there was no way I was taking any pictures of myself lol.

And my goals for June are…..

  • Go to the gym 3 times a week – Now I am feeling better and my back is feeling much better too, I plan on getting right back in to working out. I was making really good progress, I hope to get back to that point.
  • Use more of the make up I have – This might sound like a strange goal, but I have loads of make up and don’t actually use that much of it. My friend says my dressing table looks like the counter of a Boots store lol. I want to try to use different colours and maybe start actually wearing foundation and things like that everyday. I have loads of skincare products I want to get into a proper routine of using too.
  • Interact more on social media – I do like a lot of people’s posts/pictures on social media, but I think I need to comment/talk more too. I am a bit of a lone wolf blogging. I know of lots of lovely bloggers, but I don’t really talk to any of them, I really should try to make a bit more effort with this.
  • Update my blog/profile pictures – I really must do this this month. Booey will be 13 in July and she has changed so much from the pictures I have up now. And I guess it would be nice to have some fresher pictures of me too lol.
