As many of you know, at the beginning of the year I started knitting again. I am so glad that I did. Not only does it help me to be creative and relax, but it has helped me to find friends via a Knit and natter group and a more generalized craft group. I don’t always get the time I would like to knit, but I couldn’t be without it now.

Why I wanted The Knitting Bible

I have so many patterns that are either scribbled on bits of paper (which I inevitably lose) or on pages that I have taken out of knitting magazines. They all look so messy, unorganized or accidentally get put in the bin. So, I was looking for a folder or notebook to keep them all in. And that is where Stationery Geek stepped in.

Stationery Geek are stationery, bloggers, and craft lovers’ dream. They have notebooks, journals, project books, pencils and so much more. I cannot tell you how happy I was to find them! As soon as I saw it, I knew the knitting bible would be for me.

Useful Pages

On the first few pages, there is useful information such as knitting abbreviations, needle sizes (UK and US sizes), yarn types and recommended size guides for hats, scarves, and blankets. I thought this was a great idea, especially as I forget what some of the abbreviations mean lol! There are also a couple of pages for you to make notes on.

The main knitting project pages are set out so that you can include all the details of what you are working on. You can record needle size, yarn type/colour, stitches used and even boxes you can put a picture of the completed project and a sample of the yarn you have used.

The following page is a grid square for you to write the pattern in. You only have one A5 page to write it down on, so I would say the project book is best for shorter patterns.

How I am finding using the knitting bible

So far, I have used the knitting bible to write down patterns for a hat, poppies, and a skull pattern for some bunting. I think I may also attach some of the odd magazine page patterns to the pages as well. Hopefully this way I won’t lose them lol!

I have really enjoyed using the knitting bible, it is brilliant for recording all of your knitting projects. As I said above, it would’ve been nice to have more space to write patterns down, but that’s not a huge problem.

The knitting bible is priced at £7.49
