Like most of us, I like my home to smell nice. I have loads of candles to help me with this. In fact, I think I may have a problem with buying so many! Last year, I even bought the Yankee Candle advent calendar (I didn’t manage to get one this year).

Because I love candles, I haven’t really thought about using a reed diffuser. I got one for Booey as I was uncomfortable with her having candles in her bedroom. She had one that smelled of sweets. I have to say I was quite impressed with the scent it gave off and there was no risk of her burning the house down! So I thought I would give them a go too.
I didn’t want one that smelled of sweets, I would just end up feeling hungry all the time! So, I wanted to try to find one that smelled “grown-up”.

The Pairfum natural reed diffuser comes in 19 different scents, so I had plenty to choose from. In the end, I went for the Spa scent. I chose this as I knew I was going for a spa day (which I had won in a competition) and thought it would get me in the mood before I went and remind me of a nice day after.
The Pairfum reed diffusers use innovative perfume infused with natural oil serum. These don’t harm the respiratory system (good to know!) or deplete the ozone layer.

The reed diffuser is very easy to set up. Simply undo the lid on the oil bottle, remove the plastic stopper ( I have kept this in a safe place so I can put it back in if I need to), then insert the desired amount of reeds and enjoy. You can change the intensity of the scent by either adding or removing reeds to your taste. Also, the more frequently you turn the reeds the more you will notice the scent. Depending on how strong you want the scent the reed diffuser should give out the scent for 3 – 5 months.
I was very pleased with the reed diffuser. The scent was lovely (not really sure how to describe spa scent other than it’s fresh) and I could smell it all around my lounge. I love that I can just set it up, then forget about it. It is placed where I have to walk past it so that I don’t forget to turn the reeds.
I am not going to say I am converted from using candles, but I will definitely be getting another reed diffuser. One with a scent the same or similar to this would be perfect to go in my bathroom.
What do you think of reed diffusers? Do you like them or are you a candle person?
Take care everyone.

They are a great alternative to candles.

The fact that they don’t harm the respiratory system is really important for me as I suffer really badly from asthma. I’d got rid of all Reed diffusers in our house for that reason, but I shall definitely be looking into getting some of these! #KCACOLS

I am glad they are something that would be good for you x

I like reed diffusers but the smell doesn’t always seem to last as long. I do prefer a candle. Great idea for booey to be able to get in on the scent vibe safely though #KCACOLS

Exactly! I have seen some great ones in B&M that smell like the drumstick lollies and loveheart sweets, she will love them.

my wife likes candles but I don’t. Maybe this would be something that we could compromise on #KCACOLS

I’ve got one of these with a couple of reeds in which makes the vanilla just right for our sized downstairs. Even with 2 reeds, they lasted ages and have only recently had to be replaced. #kcacols

I only used half the reeds and it keeps a lot of the house smelling nice.

I like reed diffusers too but I didn’t know that you need to turn the reeds to allow more scent in the room. I’ll do that from now on. #kcacols

I like the idea of a reed diffuser. I love scented candles but they do make me nervous with 3 accident prone children around! #KCACOLS

A reed diffuser would be much safer for you then lol x
