This empties post is really late this month. Last week Booey was quite poorly (she is fine now, back rolling her eyes at me lol) so I have gotten a little bit behind with things. Talking of Booey, she took all the photos for this post. I think they are great for her first time doing flat lays. She wants to improve her photos, so I think she will be doing more of them. She also made a get ready with me video, which I will put at the end of this post. I think she thinks that she is going to get money or free make up for helping me lol.
I have a great range of products that I used during June. No shower gel this month as I have been dipping between 2 different bottles depending on my mood. I’ve adapted my skin care routine a little, so next month I will have some things that I haven’t used before.
On to what I used during June.
First this month is the Aquafresh Intense clean toothpaste. As usual this was on offer which was why I bought it, but this month I bought a slightly more expensive toothpaste to see if there is any difference. This one was good, I don’t really know what else to say lol. My mouth felt clean and fresh after using it and I would buy it again.
I bought these Skin Academy Gel eye patches partly because they have lavender in. I love the smell of lavender so I was sold! I’ve seen gel eye patches in shops for a while but have never thought of trying them. But since I changed my skin routine I thought it would be good to try a few different products to see if I could improve the look of my skin. The patches were really easy to put on. They were quite slippery so I did have to push them back into place a couple of times as they slid down. They smelled really nice, not at all “chemically” like I thought they might. My skin did feel really nice after using them and slightly less puffy then usual. I will be getting these again, soon the bags under my eyes will be gone!
I love the Rimmel stay matte powder. I’ve bought this numerous times. I get it in the shade 003, peach glow. The powder lasts really well throughout the day and doesn’t look cakey on the skin. It stops my face from looking really shiny and works great on it’s own or on top of foundation. This one came to an early end. there was only powder left around the edges, but still enough to use. I stupidly dropped it on the bathroom floor when I was getting ready for work, I could have cried! I’ve not got a new one yet as I am trying one from The Body Shop. I had some vouchers to spend in there so I decided to try the make up as well as the bath and body products. I’ll give my verdict on it in a future empties post.
Recently, I have become a fan of liquid eye shadows. I haven’t used a powder one for a little while (and I should as I have loads lol!). The collection glam crystals liquid eye shadow (shade Envy) has become my day-to-day colour. It glides on really easily and a little goes a long way. The colour lasts really well and has a great metallic shine to it. I am going to get this again at some point, but I want to try and use up some of the other eye shadows I have.
I am going to finish with two products from The Body Shop. The camomile gentle eye make up remover was in the Body Shop beauty advent calendar that I had this Christmas. It has a very mild scent and there was no need to scrub hard to remove make up. Everything was removed really well, even mascara. It was definitely gentle on my eyes and they felt refreshed as well as clean of make up. It has definitely turned my head from my usual eye make up remover and I will probably buy this again.
If you are a regular reader of my empties posts, you will know I usually buy the cheapest shampoo in the supermarket. But, as I had some gift vouchers I decided to buy something a little bit more expensive. And I am so glad that I did! The Fuji green tea shampoo and conditioner were amazing! They smelled so fresh and my hair felt so soft after using them. My hair (to me at least) looked a bit better than it does normally. I just felt really good after I had used it. I know that probably sounds a bit odd, but I did lol! I’m going to a blogging event at a local Body Shop store at the end of the week and I shall be getting more of this (I’ve been saving up lol!). I shall probably be leaving there in debt lol!
All that is left now is for me to share with you Booey’s get ready with me video, here it is.
I write these empties posts every month, if you would like to see my empties May click here.
What beauty products have you been using lately, Have you used any of the products I have used this month?
Take care everyone.

They were really nice, refreshing for your eyes.

I haven’t tried liquid eyeshadow. I quite like the moussey /gel type ones so I imagine I’d quite like the liquid ones too. #MMBC

They are easy to apply, I don’t think I have tried a gel one before.

I like the look of the Body Shop eye makeup remover. Not seen the gel eye patches before, but I’ve been looking at the under eye pads. I found a lovely recipe using cucumber, which my greenhouse is over running with, so I was going to give that a go. I do love the smell of lavender. #MMBC

Cucumber is great on the eyes, it is very calming and soothing. The eye make up remover was really nice, it wasn’t harsh at all.

They were really soothing. I might get one of those gel eye masks that you put in the fridge too, see how good they are too.

We loved the Macleans toothpaste too! And think you definitely need some of the anti-shine powder in the July heat! #KCACOLS

That stay matte powder is one of my staples, it’s great for me as my skin does get oily easily. I’ve not tried any eye patches but those sound so relaxing with the lavender scent! x #KCACOLS

The lavender scent was lovely. I have to use a matte powder to prevent shine.
