How is May over and June here already! I cannot believe we are halfway through the year already. How did that happen?! Before we know it, Christmas will be here (and hopefully a nice new beauty advent calendar lol). Now the better weather is here (well sort of) I am spending a lot more time outside, so there has been a lot of sun cream use. There will definitely be some of this in the next empties post.
I have made it one of my monthly goals to try to use more of my make up products. I don’t use things like foundation everyday and I tend to use the same colour eyeshadow. Over the last couple of years I have bought so many make up products and I don’t really use a lot of them. I need to start using all the lovely bits I have.
So, what did I think of the things I used during May?
I love a good eyeliner. I have them in a few different colours, but you can’t beat a good black eyeliner. The Avon Gimmersticks brights (in boldest black) was ok. I found that it was a bit sticky when I put it on, so much so that it kind of made my lower lashes stick together and clump. After a few hours, especially if it was hot, I found that it smudged and looked a bit like it was running down my face. I have used eyeliners that I have liked a lot more, so I won’t be buying this again.
I would say I am quite a newbie when it comes to using make up primer. This is only the second one that I have bought. The Rimmel Fix & Perfect primer was good . My face definitely felt a bit smoother and foundation goes on really nicely with it. I also think it helped keeping my make up looking nicer for longer, this has already been re-purchased.
I have mentioned a few times before that I love the Sure women’s antiperspirants, but I hadn’t seen this radiant sunshine one before. It smells lovely, peach and wild raspberry, and of course works really well. This was so nice that Booey decided she had to have some too!
The Vanilla & Macadamia Cocoon handwash smelt amazing! And the smell lasted for a while too. My hands felt lovely after use and they didn’t feel dry at all. Even using it quite a few times during one day, didn’t have any adverse reaction on my skin. I would have bought this again, but Booey wanted to buy the unicorn handwash (coming soon to an empties post near you), my vote didn’t count lol!
I rather cheekily got the Boots Zingy Berries and Cream shower gel for free though the o2 priorities app. And what a lovely freebie it was! It smells amazing, it kinda made me hungry lol. My skin felt lovely and soft after using it and it didn’t make it feel dry at all. Once I have got though my stash of shower gels I will get this one again. It’s a bargain at only 75p!
I am pretty happy with everything I have used during May, the eyeliner was the only slight let down. What have you been using this month that is good?
Take care everyone.

I love products that smell good enough to eat! I was given some citrus flavour moisturising creams and a body oil last month that smell gorgeous, very lemony. I was also given a primer by Younique which seems pretty good, too. Thanks for linking up with #KCACOLS!

So is primer the same as foundation? Because I think that’s where I went wrong years ago and my makeup just didn’t last! #kcacols
aliduke79@hotmail.com
Primer is a base, you can wear it with or without foundation, but it does help to keep the make up looking good for longer x
