April Review & May Goals

April didn’t move as fast as previous, finally the world seems to have slowed down a bit! It started cold, we had a mini heat wave, and it ended cold again. The temperature is far too low seeing as we are at the start of May! There have been enough decent days though to get out of the house at least for a little bit. Booey even did a morning of canoeing.

April review and May goals

I feel like I have achieved more this month, although it was all to do with my goals. This month I have gone back to doing YouTube videos more regularly. I kinda fell out of love with YouTube when they changed the YouTube partnership agreement. It meant small channels like mine really lost out and it didn’t feel fair. But I have gotten over it and am making videos again.

I feel like I have gotten into a bit more of a routine with joining linkies as well. I was struggling a bit with them, but now I am putting time aside near the end of the week to play catch up with these and it seems to be working.

Onto how I did with my goals.

  • Read 2 books – Again this was a fail. I did finish one book and I am a fair way through a second, but it wasn’t enough. I did manage to write a review of the books I read over the last couple of months, you can read that here.
  • Go to the gym 3 times a week – Some weeks I managed this, others I didn’t. I am still doing extra shifts at work, this doesn’t always make it easy to find time for the gym.
  • Apply for more brand/sponsored posts – I have found a few more places to look for these opportunities and I have applied for a few posts. I have only gotten one I applied for so far, but I am happy with how tha is all going.
  • Update photos of myself and the kids for the blog pages – This was a complete fail. I have taken pics over the last month, but none that are really profile pics. I must get this done.

And my goals for May….

  • Go to the gym 3 times a week – I really want to get back to doing this, I was so happy with how I was progressing in the gym.
  • Try to relax a bit more – I have been letting the little things get to me lately and I am snapping at everyone. Whether it is reading for a few mins or having a long bath, I need to take more time for myself to chill a bit.
  • Upload 2 YouTube videos a week – This is roughly how many I have been putting up over the last few weeks and it seems to be working well for me. While I will never be a BrummyMummyof2 , I think I can do ok at it.
  • Update my blog photos – I really need to do this, especially the ones of Booey, she has changed so much and it really shows in some of the pics of her.

So there are my goals for this month. I think I can do really well with these. Have you set yourself any goals at all this month?
