5 Cosy Books to Pick Up This November

I don’t know about you, but I love to read! This cold weather has to be good for something- and I just love to find new, cosy books to curl up with in November.

Reading is one of my favourite activities. If you get your books from the library, reading is completely free- and it can also keep you occupied for hours during the long Winter months. If the weather is blowing a gale outside, choose a captivating book instead of heading out in the cold this November.

In this blog post, I’ve put together 5 cosy books to pick up this November. I hope you find your next favourite read!

1. ‘Public Library and Other Stories’ by Ali Smith

2. ‘Six of Crows’ by Leigh Bradugo

I’ve heard a lot about this book from fellow bloggers, so this is the perfect book to pick up during the cold November months.

This novel is set in the Shadow and Bone Universe, following a group of outcasts as they head out on an incredible adventure.

With a little bit of everything- including sorcery, magic, love and fantasy- this is a great, cosy book to sink your teeth into this November.

3. ‘Run’ by Ann Patchett

‘Run’ is set during a blizzard in Boston- and it’s sure to put our chilly English weather into perspective.

Over a period of 24 hours, this book follows the former mayor of Boston, his sons and a stranger and her child. This story discusses the themes of poverty, privilege, family and unknown connections in a fast-paced, snowy setting.

This is the perfect read for a quiet night-in this November.

4. ‘Winter Street’ by Elin Hilderbrand

If you’re after a cosy November read, you can’t go wrong with ‘Winter Street’.

This book is set at Christmas time, following the owners of a cosy Nantucket Inn. The book is cute and light-hearted, and it’s sure to put you in the festive mood this November.

5. ‘Wolf Hall’ by Hilary Mantel

If you love historical fiction, ‘Wolf Hall’ is a great choice for November.

‘Wolf Hall’ follows the story of Thomas Cromwell as he rises the ranks at Henry VIII’s court. He begins his life as a lowly blacksmith’s son, before learning how to use his skills and cunning to gain money and power for himself and his family.
